About Chris

The pageantry arts have been Chris' passion for 4 decades as a performer, instructor, arranger and adjudicator. Chris has instructed and arranged for some of the world's best drum and bugle corps, including, The Phantom Regiment, Madison Scouts, Glassmen, Colts, Capital Regiment and 27th Lancers, as well as arranging for some of the activity's best competitive marching bands.

Chris won 3 DCI high brass titles as a member of the 1975 DCI World Championships Madison Scouts, mentoring under DCI Hall of Fame brass instructor James Elvord. Chris went on to become the Scout's Brass Caption Head and Music Coordinator, where he helped to develop some memorable and exciting Madison programs during the early 1980's. Chris also had the rare opportunity to mentor under two of the marching activity's legendary arrangers, Ray Baumgardt and Jim Ott.

At the Glassmen, Chris was the brass arranger during a 15 year period that saw the corps rise to the top of the activity as a perennial DCI finalist. Chris was also the low brass instructor for the Phantom Regiment, working under their brass arranger JD Shaw. In addition, he arranged for the 27th Lancers, Capital Regiment, and numerous other drum corps. Chris is currently in his fifth year as the Colts' brass composer/arranger, producing some of the corps' most fan friendly and competitive programs.
